Amendments to NOR

#1 - Insurance - posted 3/2/04
We have had several requests to lower the limit on boat liability insurance. After consultation with the USJCA it was decided that the previously stated limit of $1,000,000 would be lowered to $500,000. Proof of liability coverage must be through either the boat policy or a combination of boat policy and umbrella policy. The bottom line is that you will still need to produce proof of valid insurance showing minimum coverages at registration.

#2 - Weigh In Time - posted 3/5/04
We have had several requests to extend the weigh in time for crews arriving late on thursday. The organizing committee has agreed to open weigh in on Friday morning from 7:30 to 8:30.

#3 - Insurance - posted 4/8/04
It has come to our attention that for customers of Boat US insurance, it will be nearly impossible to raise the liability coverage of their policies. It was never the intent of the organizing committee to exclude any competitor. As such we feel we have no choice but to lower the required liability coverage to the standard $300,000 level. We apologize to all those that made the extra effort to revise their policies to meet the $500,000 limit.
